For me it’s at college during breaks :)
I get that, but I disagree, given the model runs on-device.
I do agree there should just be one toggle for AI features of the sort during setup though, it shouldn’t just be preenabled for everyone.
Am I alone in thinking this doesn’t suck? Like, I don’t use ai summaries, but I do know people that do, and this is a pretty elegant way of doing it.
Oops, got the two mixed up, sorry
bsky is literally a non-profit, and all their shit is oss
Hmm, I wonder why an extension format that had no stable api and let extensions change any part of the browser was unsustainable?
That groups feature doesn’t depend on the sidebar, it uses a local ai
still broken for me too, it’s not just you
Great article!
The real blocker for me using something like kazeta is the price of sd cards, to be honest. So, probably not for me but I imagine it’s exactly what some people are looking for.
Yes, because it is, you can host your own server (pds, relay and UI) on like a 30$ vps.
Blacksky runs their own relay
I see why you think that, and I agree threads sucks. But bsky is actually fully open source and they are actively working to make federation better. I do think the current leadership genuinely cares about making a federated platform.
Will they enshittify? Yes, probably when the current ceo leaves. But by then other services will have popped up, and ATproto is built in such a way that you can move services without your current service’s consent.
I agree. That’s why I’m happy it’s fully decentralised, so that by the time they try to do that, they’ll be but one player on atproto, and won’t be able to get away with it.
It is actually decentralized though? You can host your own pds and relay for pretty cheap now.
So is the rest of it lmao
Some distros like fedora and ubuntu have support from ~500-lb gorillas, if that’s heavy enough for you
He’s probably more familiar with .xlsx, at least, that’s what i’d assume.
yeah, I saw that video, kind of a bad look for canonical ngl
I have bought it, and I did check online (fun fact, some “normal” tech reviewers now mention linux support in their videos!), and it should work fine.
Thank you for telling me though
Oh I agree, but like half of americans read under a sixth grade level. This is bad, but that’s a big portion of people that will get use out of that feature.
