I agree, my comment was somewhat tongue in cheek, I just didn’t put a /s, partially because some of the other “dumb phones” are 3 to 4 times the price. But, like another comment mentioned, a Nokia can be had for less than half of this.

At least the price is fairly low. Usually these dumb phones come out at $600-800 USD.

That should be fine. I haven’t had to do it but everywhere I’ve seen says it’s tied to your hardware and it should be fine when you reinstall windows. Though with a dead laptop I’m not sure if you’re able to get a USB with the bootable media.
Also… they’re not publically traded.
They do not have investors constantly forcing maximization of short term profits at the cost of literally everything else.
I fantasize about the idea of starting private companies for things currently dominated by public companies, with the sole idea of not being greedy and shitty.

I just learned about “man thing” in terminal a couple days ago. I had no idea they’re kept in that folder.
I kind of want to pick one up, but i can’t get a clear picture on if I should wait for a steam deck 2. From what I could find, they want to wait until there’s enough of an upgrade to be worth it. At one point that suggested around 2025, but more recent stuff makes it seem like they’re not even working on one, and other stuff hints that they are.
I’ve been using xbplay and chiaki to stream from either my Xbox or Playstation when I’m out at my brother’s to play games with him. Otherwise, a little bit of rocket league.
