Bluetooth works great when it decides to actually work. Such a cumbersome technology
Are you still using BT 4 stuff? Since 5 became commonplace I haven’t had a single issue.
My only gripe is that my phone will automatically connect to known devices and there’s no way to stop that other than forgetting the device.
Not sure who’s exactly at fault for this but the practical implementation of LE Audio (or lackthereof) made me pretty disillusioned with new BT features. That standard is almost 5 years old (released with BT 5.2 in 2020) and basically on most combinations of (LE Audio enabled!) hardware it simply doesn’t work. Some OEMs put out compatibility lists that ridiculously show 95% of (LE Audio enabled!!!) hardware incompatible, including most OF THEIR OWN FUCKING DEVICES. (I was gonna link the list for the Creative BT-W5 but they seem to have updated the product page and removed that list in the process, maybe someone smarter than me can still find it. I Remember it was a list of maybe 100 devices and the only ones that were marked compatible were Creative Zen Hybrid Pro, Creative Aurvana 2, Earfun Air Pro 3, some Audezee and one device of a brand I’ve never heard of. It lists like 4-5 incompatible Creative products, one of which was released in 2024)
So now BT 6 comes with LC3+ support which may or may not be the greatest mobile codec ever, but even LC3, which is the standard, free codec for LE Audio is far from being usable, then I don’t know how a licensed LC3+ will ever be adopted.

My earbuds have cables, so they can’t get any better.
Same, I have both and you know damn well which ones stay in their case.
They won’t, we’ll just pay more
