What a moronic headline, electricity has already often had negative prices here in Denmark, and with taxes removed per January 1st this year, only the price of “transport” through the grid has prevented that we’ve had negative prices on electricity including delivery cost already this year.

We’ve already been down to 0,03 € per kWh, and it is bound to get lower in the summer. I expect several days during this summer, where the total cost of electricity for consumers will go negative.

Last year, Britain wasted a staggering £1.47 billion (around €1.78 billion) by turning down wind turbines

This is complete and utter bullshit, turbines are turned down when prices go negative, and obviously not producing at negative prices is not a waste of any value. the above sentence is self contradictory! Complete and utter shit article. 🤮
