Denmark has a few months ago made a massive agreement allowing American bases in Denmark. The particular issue was that Denmark had to allow US law and not Danish law in the bases and “around” the bases.

In regards to this though, Denmark has the option to cancel that agreement

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, in a response to lawmakers’ questions, wrote that Denmark would be able to terminate the agreement if the U.S. tries to annex all or part of Greenland.
