Poland’s newly elected President Karol Nawrocki arrived in Helsinki on Tuesday for a one-day working visit hosted by Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

As expected, the two heads of state’s discussions centred on their countries’ security policies, particularly in regard to Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.

In that vein, at a joint press conference alongside Stubb, Nawrocki said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was prepared to attack other countries besides Ukraine.

Stubb said more pressure needs to be placed on Russia than is currently the case.

I don’t think so. He wants Europe to keep their weapons for themselves in fear of an attack instesd of giving them to Ukraine.

Russians are testing how much shit will NATO eat up. Next time their soldiers may “accidentally” wander into some neighbouring country village from Belarus (they have joint military exercises soon) and station there, under some bullshit premise like “we’ve got lost”, “we’ve got wounded in here” or whatever.

Russians are only going to escalate and that is gonna continue up either until actual full-scale war breaks out or somebody actually gathers some balls to f them up during such “provocations”.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said Poland is at its "closest to open conflict since World War Two”

Addition - an interesting toot on Mastodon in Russia’s accompanying disinformation campaign:

Russia’s military channel with 1.5m subscribers commenting on today’s attack:

Right now one of “Geran” is flying towards the Polish town of Rzeszów, where a huge logistic hub is located, through which Western weapons for Ukraine are supplied

That’s how they were explaining what has just happened to their readers. Minutes later they posted another narrative, claiming “Lithuania minister said the attack wasn’t intentional”.

These contradictory messages are an intentional tactics whose purpose is to push their readers into a kind of suspended hibernation state where the only conclusion they have is “we can’t know what is true”.
