Just upgraded, and now some things are huge, and other things are small, and it’s a pain in the backside, frankly.

Also, wtf is with that battery icon? It’s MASSIVE, and ugly, and the only way to make it smaller is to adjust text scaling, which then makes all other text much too small.

FFS Google.

OP is probably on the quarterly update, which GrapheneOS doesn’t have yet. “Material expressive” is a big change in this update

Thanks, good to know it hasn’t caused issues for many people, at least. Never tried Grapheme maybe it’s time to give it a shot 😁

Yeah, the battery icon is ridiculous, but I find the text generally easier to read.

I haven’t experienced the too large/too small behaviour that you mentioned.

What phone are you using? Haven’t had any change in text scale or battery icon size on the Pixel 9

Pixel 6 Pro here. Glad it’s not had a widespread effect. Very annoying, but I’ll just have to adjust individual app settings to try and find a happy compromise.

I’m actually glad the brought back adjustable notification shade widgets. Now I can see up to 8 icons where it used to be just 4 huge pills for network, Bluetooth, flashlight, airplane mode, etc
