    They’re not though. They’re some kind of independent territory of Denmark and they have special trading privileges with the EU, but a simple Google search will tell you they’re not part of it.

      Yup, but an attack on Greenland (for an example) is an attack on the Kingdom of Denmark. And thus is treated as such.

        It could be treated as such. It could also not be. They don’t have the legal framework that membership provides.

          They are part of Denmark and therefor goes under it’s protection.

          If they didn’t, Greenland would have been pick off a long time ago.

            Under Denmark’s protection (whatever that is worth) yes, but is, for example, Bulgaria going to militarily support a non-member independent nation? Maybe. They’re not obligated to.
