  • If you’re using supported hardware, sure.

My wifi keeps freaking out, my 2.5G nic simply doesn’t work, my Bluetooth acts up constantly, the razor kernel module made my whole setup unstable and I just wanted to change the stupid RGB lights, HDMI support is unpredictable, Nvidia drivers are a shitshow.

I still don’t miss Windows, but Windows 11 is stable on the same hardware.

  • The question isn’t why you avoid sites that use ads, it’s why you don’t have an ad blocker for the one-off situations that you do, like this one.

Or did you go to that particular article on techcrunch as part of your routine of checking if you made the right choice to avoid such sites?

Clearly sometimes you have to go to those sites, and when you do, you’re exposing yourself to ads, tracking, and potential malware unnecessarily…

  • Your guy is kind of over the top and his humor is a bit off, but he’s not wrong. A couple strategically planted trees OR a couple more carefully planned covers would provide shade to the benches most of the day.

A park I frequent has three large triangle shades suspended overhead that cover most benches and some of the play area most of the day. That’s good urban design.

This is economic design. One shade that barely covers two benches at noon.
