Even if it isn’t an OpenWRT router if you have a hardwired server it can probably do a soft reset of the router or even modem (most modems I’ve used have had a web interface). If your router is in such a bad state it only responds to a hard reset it’s probably reaching EoL.

BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.worldto Programming@programming.dev•Live coding interviews measure stress, not coding skils6·2 months agoInteresting. What do you think happened with those you didn’t test? You think they were making stuff up or senior at their job is a far cry from senior at your job?
BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.worldto Programming@programming.dev•This project uses Docker to create an environment where you can run containers on a remote host, in such a way that your local working directory is visible to the container and optionally use X11.41·2 months agoNeat idea. Seems useful for something like a Codium server too. Keep source local but code, compile, and run(?) on the remote.

BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.worldto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Sorry, but which of these distros is right for me?English32·2 months agoI develop (nothing graphical) and mostly Bazzite has been fine for development. Every now and then it’s a little awkward (e.g. switching back and forth between a native terminal and distrobox) but I’ve never felt it was “incapable” of something. I just wouldn’t discount immutables entirely. If OP is starting from scratch I think they could give it a spin and know within a week if it was incompatible with their workflows.
BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.worldto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Sorry, but which of these distros is right for me?English5·2 months agoI don’t have any interest in things like Blender or Unreal Engine but I’m curious what makes them incompatible with Bazzite? The only thing that’s been a real PITA for me is old printer drivers (like a 15yo printers).
I convert my files to avoid transcoding but my Raspberry Pi 4B handles Jellyfin just fine.
