Good, but it will be hard and slow after decades of lacking foresight. The fact that we stuck ourselves in this situation is crazy. I really hope Europe gets a big enough shock to start think again, but I’m not really seeing signs of it…
I’m concerned that anybody could think such spearheaded attacks could bring anything but chaos. I agree on Greenland, kidnapping a high value target with a flashy operation has nothing to do with conquest. Successful US dominance was based on diplomacy, imo Trump overrates military supremacy once deprived of diplomatic credibility.
One thing that’s really clunky is checking the list of followers and followed accounts: depending on which instance is each account, these lists are either incomplete or empty. I don’t know if I do something wrong, but I was trying to get up to speed with Mastodon by discovering interesting accounts to follow- which is not trivial - and found the aforementioned problem. I use a third party app and various web front ends, including the “official” ones (you are forced to when you look for the list of followed/followers)
And quality is a small piece of the puzzle: experimentation, choice and fun factor are the bread and butter of this hobby.
Well, “plan to legislate” is something more of a hope lifeline than a true sign, I’m talking more of actual implementations, but I see your point.
