This is one of those things were I wish I did more. I remember wishing for gui funtionality on more command line software. Unfortunately I have been using guis so long now im stuck in mindset. I wish I could get rid of interfaces and have it be brain but in a utopian way not the way it looks like it will play out.

Had that recently with job scheduling tools. They used two and I had a good amount of experience with one which is the one they use more but specific experience with the other was apparently vital. Again we are talking job scheduling tools and there was a laundry list of other technical requirements I met. I don’t think those who were hiring even understood the relative complexity of the technologies.

zorin should recognize the gpu and ask if you want to use the proprietary nvidia driver. If you install proton afterwards it should work out for gaming but I don’t use it for that and as I said its more about stability and out of the box than bleeding edge or best performance. I can’t really say how it will be for gaming. Funny thing is my intention going forward is to paly around with bazzite and appimage as a way forward. mostly because I like the immutable thing.

is it important it be immutable or a gaming distro? I mean I like zorin especially after adding kde and it asks if you want to use the nvidia drivers but it is totally not a gaming distro and is more about stable and out of the box which also kinda makes it old as in conservatively old or not at all bleeding edge.

This is bullshit. It should be on mississippi to block the sites or require local isps to block them. The providers are on the internet and not going out to be in mississippi. Places should wall themselves off if they can’t handle the internet.

Im betting its like the us. Some small amount totally behind and actively keeping it going. A large amount just accepting it. A large amount not accepting it but just trying to live their lives and not fighting that hard. A small amount actively fighting it in every way they can.

do we include arcade games? because the xmen and golden axe2 were big ones to play with a friend using only one quarter. The old baldurs gate for consoles from the aughts was a great two player co-op.

Im sorta lazy. Did not switch to linux until windows 11 even though I should have after windows 7. I use the android that came on the phone because im lazy but I have to be able to sideload so this may turn out to be androids windows 11.

I thought I might use my steamdeck as a laptop as while I move my laptop around it tends to be between sorta set areas and I could just have an external monitor. Thing is its so handy as a game machine that I just don’t want to use disk space or such for my general stuff. I really enjoy having the games not on my laptop to. That being said its great for casual gamers like me but I doubt a hardcare tripple A max stats type gamer will be satisfied just using it for gaming.

I mean I never checked the stats but the play was fine with me. im not exactly a l33t guy with a decked out tower, multi high end panels, and gaming peripherals though. Filthy casual.

I actually bought it with the idea it would be my new laptop (justify it) but I use it so much for gaming I dropped that idea.

I have only played elden ring on the steamdeck and it was fine. I completed both the main and the dlc.
