I take issue with the idea presented here that this type of “AI” will get better. The only thing it will get better at is getting better at ticking people into thinking there’s any type of actual understanding going on inside an LLM. It’s not like it’s some kink in the model that will eventually be worked out with time. It’s inherent in the design of the way these things work. The only thing i could possibly see getting better in the future is once this obvious bubble pops, people might start actually trying to figure out realistic use-cases for LLMs rather than just trying to shove it into any and every facet of daily work and life because shareholders/investors have chubs for new shiny expensive tech.
