I have a 16TB server and an extensive steam collection. I already explained it to him and he was fine about it.

Just canceled my 4 year old subscription. Can’t wait to hear the complaints from my kid but Netflix is likely next.

There’s amazing and terrible manuals everywhere. One of the key things is defining target audience. From there you define experience and knowledge.
If a manual is intended to be for a broad audience interacting with something new, then you use the lowest level reading level that still makes your point. From there you work on flow because there’s a 1000 ways to skin a cat.
If LEGO manuals were only written step by step instructions, at a college reading level, then they miss a key demographic. Yet, people would still walk around like “That’s a perfectly cromulent instruction manual!” Technically they would be correct but it misses the point.
I have another pc that I could do that but I was looking at bringing it over to Linux too. I guess I could have that stay on Windows until I obtain another drive.
I have around 8 TB free. I have linked what I have in other replies.

Hmm ya, that’s definitely a concern in my location. Power goes out several times a year here, even if it’s just momentarily long enough to power off the PC. I should have a UPS but never had the spare cash to throw at that.

They’re not, and I can get one drive for sure formatted with transferring. I do get concerned with large scale transferring and worrying that the drive will die lol

Essentially I have two primary storage drives of 8 and 18 TB. The other storage drives are my old drives that I’m not worried about.
This is what my searching has panned out to be. If I completely removed Windows from my system and do not run any programs from the NTFS drives, does my risk go down?
Issue is that I have around 30 TB of data and so getting a drive to shuffle data while reformatting instantly puts me in the $250+ range which isn’t really possible right now.
I would be running Linux only with Windows completely removed.
Hey someone that reads the manual. As someone who makes manuals that makes me happy.
Anyone who is going through this, you have to try. You have to put effort into yourself and get used to rejection. It’s not fun but if it’s important to you then it’s important to show up.
I didn’t have my first kiss until 26. I have a wife and two kids. Just so you don’t think it was easy for me.
