0·6 hours agoThat’s all well and good, I was wondering about this specific headline not the general problem with conservatives.

0·7 hours agoAllowing this to stay up but not linking to it seems wrong. I don’t know anything about this site other than the headline but if you disagree that strongly, which seems to be the right reaction, you should ban the headlines too.

0·6 hours agoHow do I find the link to the text?
Edit: apparently posting an image is ok by mods but linking isn’t, weird.
If anyone is curious since the comments on the message didn’t really make sense (headline is about republicans not women, where did the no women in your life comment come from?):
The author is asserting women don’t like star trek with zero data. The republicans part is unrelated, and is about young men skewing more conservative than women. You combine the baseless claim with unrelated data and you get the headline.
China
I understand what they were trying to go for, but they failed…not least because they explain that below the fold.
I’ve been forced into graphene due to calyx’ abandonment (and piss poor communication – “oh we didn’t realize people don’t regularly check our website in case the entire organization collapses overnight”) of it’s users this year, sadly. There just isn’t an alternative afaik.
On the graphene front I’ve personally been banned from their matrix chat on several accounts, none of which I actually used to post in their chat – they did a blanket ban of anyone in the calyxos channel. Not posted there, not posted in graphene, not having actually done anything, they blanket banned (he now denies this ever happened). Which honestly given how many times I went on to see him uncontrollably ranting at people was probably for the best. He and his most ardent supporters are a brigade of trolls.
Wow you’re very uninformed. May want to read up first.
It looks neat but what an absolutely stupid take from a keyboard author
Because it trusts you to write what you meant to write.
Butch if I didn’t let it correct me I’d have to actually mook st the keyboard and who the fuck wants to do thatm.
Phones are tiny and humans are clumsy. I absolutely never mean what I type, as you can see above.
I think that’s a pretty extreme bar, but I agree 2 YouTube discussions doesn’t make a fascist. At worst it makes a Gavin newsom or Joe Rogan.
Sorry but this person is treating grapheneos’ attacks on other groups as legitimate which throws the entire article into question. If they are happy to provide a platform for graphene’s founder’s paranoid conspiracies I can’t trust the content.
Seems clear there’s some questionable shit going on, but the only evidence presented is two YouTube videos which isn’t actually a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised based on this to hear there are deeper links, but this article is written by someone who thinks tweets and YouTube comments are evidence.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Windows 10 refugees flock to Linux in what devs call their "biggest launch ever"
13·5 days agoMy os does not do that
I don’t consider “wanting a secure app to be installed through first party means” to be particularly unusual. I know in Linux it’s standard to just install random stuff from the internet with root. I’ve obviously done that myself, but for secure stuff I want first party. Making a flatpak wouldn’t be hard (they probably just need to review someone else’s work – it’s like an intern project)

14·5 days agoIf you care to trust random strangers with your secure messenger that’s a choice you can make (admittedly the desktop isn’t particularly secure to begin with but even more reason to use the actual org’s build imo). I’m sure christian heusel is very reputable.

12·5 days agoThe signal org produces a debian-compatible package and an apt server. I suppose there are hoops to jump through to make that work reliably on other distros but by that point my interest in using Linux was dwindling. (I actually moved for the performance benefits which didn’t materialize I think due to linux’ piss poor memory handling – I have a pretty low end laptop with only 16 gb of ram. the above we’re all just issues along the way).

17·5 days agoI mean your point may have been windows sucks ass but I’m aware of where I am and that’s a completely uninteresting claim here. Why not rant about water being wet – it’s just as unique or interesting as your take on windows.
What I specifically asked about is underhanded backstabs, because that’s a unique and interesting claim I haven’t read 464335735 times before on lemmy.

Thankfully I’m not normal so I added a message to explain to others who are out of the loop wtf is happening, something op should have done but failed to do
