Hardware@lemmy.world•Vision Pro M5 review: It’s time for Apple to make some tough choicesEnglish
2·4 days agoEveryone keeps saying these are development kits but quite frankly that doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. For a machine that’s supposedly a developer kit it seems to be missing a few key things including:
- Developer tools
- Any way to directly interface with the device such as a UART port or a USB C port capable of debugging
- Proper dev mode
- Proper APIs for development
- Physical controllers (it doesn’t make sense to sell devs on a device without tactile feedback)
If this was acturally a dev kit it probrally would also be a completely tethered headset without a built in processor (maybe their VR coprocessor for image processing)

0·4 days agoThe police enforce the laws of the state and as of now deepfake AI porn is not illegal
(Also ad hominem)
Im not saying they should be 100% accurate and everything needs to be done professionally, im just saying professionals from the feild should at least be consulted
What pisses me of is when major studios make an entire show about a specific profession but cant be bothered to consult anyone from said profession

0·5 days agoIts literally not the polices job to deal with this? What the hell does the police budget have to do with this? It would literally have costed you nothing to not make the conversation about how much of a reactionary you are.

You could literally read the GraphineOS documentation whenever you want where it clearly outlines how their hardening works, what security systems they have in place, and how their encryption works. I will warn you its incredibly technical, of course you wouldn’t know that because people like you who cant bother to even look at the website (https://www.grapheneos.org/features) wouldn’t know what any of it acturally means.
Tldr: for people who dont understand technical terminology they can trust the project, for people who do they can literally just read the documentation
Yeah the most secure android operating system vs a bunch of custom roms which are significantly less secure than stock due to less updates, being less hardened, and using insecure components (like reverse engineered gapps)

That would make sense if they didnt then make another identical one
