I want to believe but I can’t. Why ? Because of AI, now it means less money for people because you need to pay computer their cut.
vane@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•At Gamescom, it felt like the industry now has a plan: make games quicker | OpinionEnglish11·17 days agoSo you’re saying people can change ? Stop chasing ideas ? I don’t believe. Nobody can change people ego. Not on this planet. It’s PR bullshit and then they go to business as usual. It takes generations of people to change mindset. Look at history, when I was born there was war on middle east and it will be there when I will die, because there is always war there since like 2000-5000 years, and you’re expecting miracles.
vane@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•At Gamescom, it felt like the industry now has a plan: make games quicker | OpinionEnglish11·17 days agoSorry but my brain is shutting down after iterate quickly. To much corporate bullshit, you can repeat those words 1000 times and they don’t mean anything because with all respect you’re saying some bullshit. Trends don’t make money. Shaping trends make money. Actually shaping trends and exposure but despite the huge exposure look how hard is to shape trends. With AI they can shape shit somebody already created and nobody likes to see same shit 1000 times.
vane@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•At Gamescom, it felt like the industry now has a plan: make games quicker | OpinionEnglish1·17 days agoI don’t think corporate is able to follow the idea. It’s politics. If they follow the idea the idea must come from their boss. It’s just buzzwords to me.

vane@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•At Gamescom, it felt like the industry now has a plan: make games quicker | OpinionEnglish181·18 days agoThere’s the advantage, too, that quickly made games can be adapted to suit current trends, avoiding the pain of, say, launching a live-service shooter years after the genre has been saturated.
Ah yes we need quick money trend slop.

Not this year. CoreWave is literally Microsoft outsourcing hardware if you read their s1.
For the years ended December 31, 2023 and 2024, our largest customer was Microsoft, which accounted for 35% and 62% of our revenue, respectively

vane@lemmy.worldto privacy@lemmy.ca•Porn censorship is going to destroy the entire internet9·23 days agoI think ISP are already logging what we do. ( at least in EU )
ISPs may engage in monitoring and filtering of communications data to fight viruses and overall ensure the security of the network
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/ALL/?uri=celex%3A52012XX0208(01)
and all of the monitoring of course have
this does not apply when the purpose is based on security considerations
so given that there is war next door you can assume you’re being monitored 24/7
also this
Article 6( c ) of the Data Protection Directive lays down the proportionality principle (34), which applies to ISPs, as they are data controllers in the meaning of this Directive, when they engage in monitoring and filtering.

AI is not a bubble, it’s cartel. The only way to destroy it is to abolish monopolies or establish competition and as you can see it is not going to happen. GabeN where is my steam phone ?
