DPRK: “it’s showtime”
Yeah, this is understandable but like, where were these people who are up in arms two decades ago? The ship has sailed. Walk around in any store, mall, shopping center, urban area… But no, all those recording devices are to keep me “safe”. But glasses, now that’s too far.
Generation Proxmox?
Opponent: but what about 2A and legalizing racism?
opponent wins in landslide
Me: puts on glasses
Glasses: drain your savings account and put it into ours
Me: okay boss transferring now
Glasses: thanks fam self destructs
Me: oh no
Yes, we are. For a group that is supposed to be educating people on products, services, and how to use them, they are doing a really shit job at it. Being a dumbass with your own tech (not having file scrubbing setup on your production server for several years) is fine - stupid as hell, but fine, you’re only fucking yourself. But when they give people blatantly wrong information, misuse parts, and generally lead viewers astray - intentionally or not - they should be put in the spotlight, every time.
You can get your information from wherever you please, but I prefer mine to be accurate and useful. I’m a disabled dude who is managing tech on a shoestring budget, for home and the family business, and the fact that I know more than just about everyone on their (camera-facing) team is fucking embarrassing. For a seven-digit+ group to be outclassed by a dude with a couple grand a year, holy shit lmao. And the gall and higher-than-thou attitude whenever they get called out. History repeats itself.
I guess like home cooking shows and shopping networks, everything has an audience, but to pretend like they know what they are talking about, and that their viewers should soak up their wisdom, is just disingenuous.
And dropping things, expensive things. And selling items that are on loan to them, after misusing said item on loan. And not knowing basic server maintenance like file scrubbing. And letting the staff trash talk other creators, and then doubling down when called out for it. And…
E: and ignoring terminal warnings, and…

Can you give me some of your immense wealth, since $700 is just pocket change for you?
DoA. Grab it on clearance for 50% off.
I had and loved both Nexus 7 models; used them for cell phones for a while, thru gVoice and wifi. They were great, with new tech. A family member still has theirs, and technically I still have mine, though with a broken screen. I used to carry it in my pocket, alright?
Nothing else has interested me since. I’ve got a couple of Chromebooks (one of the '17 Pixelbooks, and one from Asus) and both are 2 in 1s… they are fine, but they aren’t N7s. Price went up, quality went down, up and down with no direction on wtf they were creating or the target market.
Oh yeah, that’s the good stuff
:p I’ve got laptops, most recently a ThinkPad X13(s? I don’t remember) Gen 2, but I want the gpu so I can retire/repurpose my Acer Predator. The hardware is solid and still doing well, but the execution of basically everything else is horrible. And it weighs several pounds, I can use it as a weapon with ease. It was 1 of 2 (after tons of research) laptops at the time with both cpu and gpu from amd, 5/6 years ago now. MSRP was $2700 if I remember right, but I got it for $1400 which is about what it was worth.
I don’t have stripey socks or a 🦈 :( but I do have a 🐯 that’s good for cuddling :3
My father has a fw 16" per my suggestion, and I want to get one as well, but they don’t offer financing and are fucking expensive. Like shit the bed, last time I looked the diy version was like $2,300 for the upgraded amd cpu and gpu but with no ram, storage… I’m not made of money 😫
But the joke is that normies have no idea what Linux is and even less of a clue about where to get machines that are made for it.
Brb just going to pop over to best buy and look at their offerings of Linux powered machines
Step 1: obtain tool
Step 2: ‘borrow’ one car per night, add as many miles/kilometers as possible
Step 3: watch dealerships shit themselves
Step 4: be the silent reason why all affected vehicles get free fixes
That last one sounds absolutely positive though
