I grew up in a huge family and did a ton of parenting without my consent. I know exactly what it’s like.
Being forced to parent siblings and parenting your own child are very different things. Even if you don’t choose to have a child, they are your own flesh and blood and that makes a big difference.
AFAIK it’s not so much “flesh and blood”, but more about accepting the responsibility of being a parent.
unless you’re in the 10% of parents who regret having children.
