DIY engineer and YouTuber Mike Bell has successfully built and flown a drone powered directly by solar energy, with no batteries or any form of energy storage device. He achieved this by attaching a slat made up of 27 individual solar panels onto a carbon-fiber drone.

      I prefer text articles myself, video has its place, but I personally don’t like it for in-depth discussions.

      This just seems kinda cool.

        I think it looks like a really cool project. I just hate being duped by what looks like an article but after reading a few lines you realize that it’s just a teaser for getting you to click the YouTube link.
