      There is an optional subscription for a syncing service, although it looks like there’s a basic syncing service included?

        Looking into it a bit more, it looks like Remarkable uses their own Linux distro, so presumably any Linux sync/backup service should work.

        I appreciate the availability of an optional syncing service for ease of use, but would ideally it would have something like Google/Dropbox/Nextcloud or DAV integration where no additional subscription is needed.
