I dont think there is any conversation to be had about an easy mode or boss runbacks. Any time this small dev team spends on an easy mode is time wasted IMO.

An invention is not judged on its naysayers. People dont think AI is bad because it has a lot of non believers. No invention is like the previous and every one has to be judged as its own thing. like electricity and many inventions of the past their usefulness is obvious in demos but with AI there are very few convincing usecases. Programming, art and video are the only one I’ve seen that are “good” and its still pretty shit when you actually sit down and use it and think about what you are actually doing.
Thats not enough to change the world these have been very accessibile for the past 20 years making it slightly easier is not comparable to electricity.
It really doesnt take as long as you would think. I did it on a chromebook. Kernel and webrowser are the only things that take awhile and its only a few hours. When i did it on my gaming desktop it was barely any time.

There is another part to this. These people are invested maybe even over leveraged in AI stocks so now they need to promote it and get others to join them in buying into this AI hype because if it fails they seek to lose money. We saw this happen with crypto, someone who didnt care at all about crypto could buy any coin and within months their entire social media would be full of them promoting that coin because they need others to buy in to increase the value of their investment.

I think its fine for a player new to the series but you’ve got to the type of person that is willing to learn and willing to die over and over. For people who play these kinds of games its not insane to expect them to pick it up.
