I completely understand the appeal but I still just don’t like him. Great story! Still don’t want to be near him!

My first cat was my grandmother’s purebred Russian blue cat. She moved in with us when I was a kid and brought her Russian blue and Scottish fold. The Russian blue became mine and the Scottish fold welded herself to my mother. Poor grandmother, both her cats abandoned her!

Most memorable acquisition was playing rpgs at someone’s home. A whip thin cat runs out, eyes as big as dinner plates, scared.

What a lovely cat! I say. Because it’s a cat. I love all cats the second I view them.

I’m sure they have nicknames for us, but I think of them as houses before people. “House with loud dog” “The Name House” “The First Name House” “proselytizer house”

First name house and name house are not those families anymore. Those people either died or moved out.

That is a name I hadn’t thought of for awhile. I should go read it again, got a decade to catch up on!

Oh, it’s a way sensory overload can manifest. I hate lace, although admire the artwork of it. I like soft plush things and running my fingers on things that are smooth. I don’t like wearing silks though, too slippery on the body. Some fabrics make SOUND and those are the worst.

About which? Being autistic or having sensory overload related to physical sensations?

It helps so much to make my brain stop caring about Too Many Sounds and Bad Fabrics its wild.

Two whole fingers??? I was taught pointer finger for someone you don’t know, two (pointer and middle) for someone you know the name of, three for a family friend (all three middle).

Mother taught dad this when he did three and she cracked up because you could see the other driver trying to figure out how he knew us.

Despite what my mother’s husband thinks, I’ve never been a member of his household. My twin, who was, lives with me now.

He’d tell my mother, but not his own sons or my twin. (My mother, once she knew, would have told everyone else in the household. Luckily they’ve never had a water boil down there)

I don’t like him very much.

The phone number is not required for the accounts here. Also there’s a lot of people that misses. It only covers one person in our three person household, and only one person in my mother’s five person household. Luckily the person who pays the water here told us. My mother’s husband absolutely would not tell three of the other people in their household until after someone drank the water cause not his job to let people know he says.

I didn’t get text alerts because I am not the person who pays the water! Also those only happen if you have a phone connected to the account which is absolutely not required and several people in the area did not know about.

The “system no one knew about” was the township app. Which is a thing, sort of. Sometimes works. Different system. Four total things. Website, Facebook, text alerts if you are paying for water and have a phone connected, and a township app. Which the township apparently recently changed to a different app thing.

I’ll keep that in mind if I ever get divorced!

USA! So all our regulations are leaving. They said what methods they used, I listed all four! So no letters.

They do send letters or put notes on doors if its a planned outage though.

Eeey complain about it and it’s been lifted. Which I learned from spam refreshing the website because I am not the water bill person.

Personally I’d like to sign up for email alerts. I’m not the person who pays the water bill, so I won’t get the phone alerts. But I’m still living here, so it would be nice to still get those somehow.

More options in general would be nice. Sign up for email or something even!

I always found fanfic easier to write because someone else did huge amounts of world building for me! I don’t have to describe say, Luffy’s powers because the person reading it ideally watched or read One Piece and knows stuff! Same with prestablished relationships.

175k is still insane! Best I did was 50k for nanowrimo like a decade ago for the Garrett Investigates fandom.

It was wild being raised by my mother who didn’t mind if I saw consensual sex, because I should eventually have sex, but restricted all violence because ideally I’ll never see violence in person.

I have no idea how good this is a philosophy for raising children. Sample size is too small.
