  • open and unchecked borders are not only unpopular

So is Open Source Software. No reason not to fight for it.

    massive security and economic risk.

I would argue, the way we - as Europe - treat people coming here is a massive security and economic risk. Increasing border"security" makes it harder for people that are not taught how to dodge the system. It however does not change much for people that have a high criminal interest - for example they learn how to dodge border control.

So my point: The way we do it right now is fatal. Changing it in the direction of more humanity is a risk worth taking.

  • For people being to lazy to click:

    • A new agreement on food safety will establish a common food safety area covering all dimensions of the food chain.
    • A new agreement on electricity will allow the participation of Switzerland in the EU internal electricity market.
    • A new agreement on health will allow Switzerland to take part in EU mechanisms and bodies addressing serious cross-border threats to health. That concerns notably the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and the Early Warning and Response System.
    • A new agreement introduces a permanent and fair financial contribution by Switzerland to economic and social cohesion within the Union, reflecting the level of partnership and cooperation between the parties.
    • A new agreement will cover Switzerland’s participation in the EU Agency for the Space Programme, for activities related to the Galileo and European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) components of the Union Space Programme.

  • Never said it was ageism but I am sure it is at least close to it and a good reason to look it up.

I agree with the part here being a nice culture compared to other “social” medias. However repatriating general stupid behavior just on kids is definitely ageism - not sure if that was OPs intention.

Don’t quite agree with your comparison: What you mention is more of skill learning process. Social media is more of a proper behavior to have - I think here the age doesn’t matter nearly as much as your surrounding.
