Arizona Tea is thinking about raising the price of their tea from $1 to $1.29 for the first time in 30+ years, but the fourth Call of Duty game to come out this year needs a 15% price hike.
Let that sink in.

Bauldur’s Gate 3 works and Rimworld works so that’s really all that matters.
FOSS for sure. If it were proprietary we’d be seeing substantially more guardrails, and new releases would be scheduled more predictably with way less of an impact; but occasionally everything would stop working for like 72 hours… I’ve not seen EVERYTHING stop working for 72 hours in my lifetime.
“we’re going to need 4000 more pods”
lol - who’s doing SRE?
PS5 is dogshit. I haven’t turned mine on since October.
Midterms will be cancelled
Is “gold star” dude a thing, or do only women get that label?
There was a post the other day talking about how Hilary Clinton was advising gay people thinking about marriage to get it done immediately. The post was removed from /r/politics for not being on topic. 6 comments replying to the mod post about it and I’d bet those people are still participating over there.
I was away from Reddit for over two years, and then one of my old accounts was compromised by some pornographer.
I didn’t like that, so I got the account back. Poked around for a little bit after that.
I got banned from /r/worldnews on my first comment there for celebrating the beating of that douche-nozzle known as “Big Balls.”
Fuck em. Didn’t dispute anything, just immediately done posting there again. Reddit is unrecognizable vs where it was in June 2023. I’m pretty sure half the participants are AI; and they’re using AI based personas to drive up their metrics and subsequently their stock price.
So tellllll me, what’s the price to pay… for glooooooory
It sometimes feels like denial in here.
CRWV has been an options play in Wallstreetbets for a few weeks. CoreWeave doesn’t make AI; they sell overpriced hardware and cloud services.
It was heavily shorted (because it’s dumb) and people were buying options anticipating a short squeeze. Hasn’t happened. They’ve moved on. More than a handful of these people don’t give any consideration at all to profitability.
We should also have UBI and Healthcare.
Don’t look at what’s been happening with the stock price.
I am fairly certain I know the company.
Fuck… yea, I meant EAP.
I’m a sr. devops engineer and I abhor this shit.
I don’t really know what to do. Considering a career change. I’m trying to use my company ERP to talk to a counselor about my feelings around all of this.
Our current state of things is one of blind compliance where people are using AI to generate slop that will be evaluated by a different AI. No one is really doing much anymore at all. It feels like things are over. As people “embrace” AI (as they’re told to do), they’re literally training their own eventual replacements. It doesn’t matter that things aren’t there yet, they’re starting to get replaced by the shit that’s in use now.
No, they did not. That’s just the greedy stores near you: https://www.today.com/food/news/why-arizona-iced-tea-costs-more-than-99-cents-at-some-stores-rcna160216
