You can count on as spineless as incompetent as opportunistic and corrupt German politicians for exactly this not happening.

Collaborator scum.
The Economy™ of current day understanding consists of the wallets of the ultra rich, more exactly, of their contents.
It is quite easily fixable by finally banning that Nazi scum. Unfortunately those who hold the power to do so don’t have a spine, and/or like to use the Nazis for stupid party political power games.
Those so-called economy sages are merely a bunch of neoliberal ideologues who have been systematically pushing for ever more austerity and privatisation and are at very least partially to blame for the decades of systematic neglect of infrastructure, and the ever rising wealth and income inequality in Germany. If not because of instigating it, then at least for serving as a pseudoscientific fig leaf to legitimise it.
No need for that. The official science advisor will always be a loyal card carrying member of one of the currently governing parties, who won’t say anything that they’ll have to ignore, or even worse, some industry lobbyist who has the right bribes arguments to not be ignored.
Oh noes, those poor billionaires.
The server:
In their grounds for the judgement, they have once again displayed an utterly insane understanding of computer technology, as typical for people employed in the German legal sector.
I wouldn’t trust them any further than I could throw a barrel of paint. (before the judges drank it)
This time, it’s judges, not politicians.
Not that this makes it any better, though. German judges tend to be a very special kind of crazy.
As @cows_are_underrated@feddit.org said, they will have to investigate if you file charges, but with such minuscule damage, the investigation will typically be abandoned due to insignificance. (“eingestellt wegen Geringfügikeit”) Often, they will try to dissuade people from pressing such charges in the first place, even if just to avoid the paperwork.
It’s an important matter, or as one would say in Germany:
It’s an important matter!
It’s about the sausage!
For the adoption of neoliberalism, in nominally “left” political organisations, look at “Social” Deomocrats in pretty much any European country, and some of them are trying to conceal that by putting on a veneer of identity politics.
One very prominent example of a formerly leftist party turning full neoliberal while hiding behind a facade of identity politics are the German Greens.
Overall, classic working class issues have been largely abandoned by most self proclaimed left parties and movements, while they are busying themselves with identity politics based infighting. Not all of them have embraced full neoliberalism, but pretty much all of them subscribe to the extreme individualism that is central to the neoliberal ideology.
I’d also argue that US style “leftism” (divisive identity politics on top of neoliberalism) has ruined the European left that was all too eager to import and copy that horseshit.
Economists can go and fuck themselves, they have done more than enough harm by consulting politicians on what to do in the last 5 decades.
That was a long time in the making and should come as absolutely no surprise. They do have the support of the media. (mostly intentional, and some unintentional through the stupidity of modern “journalism” like false balance) Also the established political parties have nothing better to do than legitimising them by parroting their rhetoric and allowing them to set the agenda. At least the CDU is increasingly openly preparing to cooperate with them, too.
It’s like a rerun of the old classic “Weimar Republic”.
Here we go again…
I’d prefer an actual cat, even a face eating leopard, over a politician, because with the cat, I know exactly what I am voting for, while the politician is more like a cat in a bag sort of deal.
And the media are giving them a platform.
Disgusting.
