Moccamaster is relatively popular brand where I live. Most people know about it. It always boggles my mind when I see a middle class family with a 35€ coffee maker. Why cheap out on something you’re using multiple times a day for the rest of your life? These things are not that expensive and spare parts are widely available.
Get a BIGGER cup.
This is the same approach as “add one more lane” to a congested highway. You know it’s not gonna work.
Just get a saucer.

If they’re anything like my they’re just gonna fill it anyway and have an even bigger problem. I actually got a smaller cup to make the problem smaller.

That’s not the cup, as it says on it the brand is Yeti. I have one, it is larger than average but not anything like 1.5L.
