I think the creativity of TOTK is what ultimately sold me. I ended up just hacking the game to have unlimited resources which just elevated the game for me since it became a fun sandbox building game to try silly things on.

I enjoyed TOTK way more than BOTK.
I used to work at a bank and you get a 30 min lunch and 2x 15 breaks.
I made a deal with my team to let me take a 1 hour lunch so I can spend 5 minutes eating and 55 minutes sleeping.
After moving to Taiwan, the lunch sleeping culture is extremely strong. In school, call students are required to nap. This culture translates to work. From corporate America to Blue collar workers, everyone takes a nap at lunch.
I have a 55" Samsung plasma TV from 2015 and a 2020 83" Samsung OLEDTV and a 2023 53" Ultrawide Samsung computer monitor.
Each one has hours and hours of use a day. None has burn-in.
The only thing you do notice is the 53" Ultrawide image will shift around every 5 minutes.
You guys are living in a bubble.
I keep trying and trying. The UX isn’t great.
Pinch to zoom is non-existent. Scrolling on a trackpad , the systememulates a mouse and isn’t smooth when you scroll. Scrolling in browsers vs in file systems is totally a different experience.
Forget about scrolling in the browser using the touch screen. It emulates a left mouse click hold. No, that is not what is expected when I’m browsing a web page and put my finger on the screen. I expect it to respond like how my phone browser responds. Never once have I ever needed to left mouse hold when I swipe a browser screen.
The list goes on. From a convoluted navigation in the menu and a need to install apps using terminal.
I keep trying and trying. But if you can’t convince a tech forward person like myself, how will you convince a normie?
I haven’t tried all the distros. But I shouldn’t have too. These UX systems should be standard across all distros.
So does piracy
Oh man. So risky to own that. I would hyper focus on this and probably end up drowning.
I guess I could code in the bath. But that might be dangerous.
ADHD brain can’t handle a bath. It’s too much relaxing and not enough doing.
Have you seen how much Selentis thinks their cars are worth? He might not be the poorest, but he is definitely the dumbest.
That poor guy in the Jeep is the last car in the caravan on the walkie saying, “Wait up, brosssss”
Lies. My family had a factory in Wuxi, China. 2 buildings that were dedicated to dormitories. 4 buildings dedicated to manufacturing promotional products.
We were able to lease the land for 50 years with a 50-year option at the end of the term.
Around year 5, the government decided to turn the main dirt road into a proper road. They took back 1/4 of the land. They just used our area for staging.
About a year after the road was made, they decided to expand the road. They took back now 1/2 of the original land and buildings.
Less than a year after the expansion, they turned the 4 lane road i to a highway. They took the entire land back. My family invested millions of dollars in buildings and infrastructure. We got back pennies on the dollar spent on the investment on compensation.
My family never fully recovered financially.
I buy Ikea bulbs, the 1850lm ones and then taking adjustable pliers and move the plastic bulb part off. I then drill a couple of holes on the sides for additional ventilation and cooling.
I haven’t had one die yet and it’s been a few years where as previously then bulbs would die in about a year.
These bulbs are used indoors and inside recess lighting.
For the bulbs that are used in lamps, I just drill the holes and leave the bulb part for the refraction. I only started doing this 2 years ago so I can’t tell you if it’s effective.
