It’s us! And it’s already happening with higher electricity prices, higher ram prices, pollution, noise, state subsidies, devalued savings/investments, etc.
This is what’s funny to me, “AI” investors must know on some level these products don’t actually work the way the companies claim, because if they did they would crash, not help, the economy as it exists now.
It’s all gonna go towards some government surveillance program. That’s why it doesn’t matter how commercially viable it is cuz the government has some juicy contracts to hand out. To clarify, the government ALREADY HAS all the data it could want, but it’s near impossible for a human to sift through it. Thank you for listening to my conspiracy theory.

At a minimum. Like all technology under capitalism, it will be developed and used primarily for violent control. This includes surveillance but much more: weapons. prisons, genocide, ethnic cleansing, etc., as we’ve already seen. That’s why there’s all this nationalist/militarist rhetoric about “beating china”. Empire feeds off empire.
AI gets used by lower classes to create a new way to produce everything. Currency becomes meaningless. Capitalistic model disappears.
